Documentary
places Amsterdam* (replace with your city name) on World Stage!
Everyday life and everyday people of Amsterdam* are set to be
the stars in an upcoming documentary titled "World on a
Glance". Jay Barros of JB Films (Florida, USA) states,
" We hope to capture on film some of the culture and history
of the places we travel to, through the eyes of local people."
The JB Films production team will rely heavily on members of
www.meetURplanet.com
(meet your planet.com) as subjects for the documentary. The
nature of this website is similar to the aims of Mr Barros,
in that its' members like to help travellers experience the
real heart of their city.
Part one of the World on a Glance project will focus on Europe,
with the expose of life in Amsterdam* just one of 16 cities
from 11 countries under the spotlight. This worldwide focus
could increase tourism dramatically to Amsterdam* over the next
18 months.
Starting in Amsterdam in early August and finishing in London,
filming will take place over 3 months. The worldwide release
date is set for 2003. Targeted towards the European film market,
interest has already been shown by Cannes and Sundance film
festivals as well as Australian distributors.
