I founded this business because I love meeting the different
people's of this planet and learning about their culture and
country. It's the people that define a country and create
a culture, and I wanted the world to have an opportunity to
meet and experience this amazing array of diversity that we
have on offer.
The seed for meetURplanet.com was planted after travelling to
Malaysia and Singapore in late 97. While I was there I stayed
with some Singaporean friends and after being hosted around
for a week I realised this was my best travel adventure. It
was only because of my local friends that I was able to experience
so much more of the culture and people.
In early 1999, I realised that the internet was the perfect
medium for meetURplanet.com to come to life. The net would allow
people the world over, to communicate with each other cheaply,
quickly and efficiently.
So finally, in mid 2001 here we are, my dream, my passion, materialised
at meetURplanet.com!!
While the team I've assembled have valuable business skills,
most importantly they share my dream of making the world a
smaller place, of helping to change the face of travel. They
also have personal qualities I admire such as compassion,
respect for others, trustworthiness and integrity.
So without further adieu;
It's your site, enjoy it and get out there and start meeting
your planet!!

| Most
memorable meetURplanet.com travel experience: |
Ummm this is hard to decide between dancing in a disco in Shenzhen,
China with my Hong Kong super host Chrissy and having a Japanese
banquet cooked for me in my home by Japanese friends I have
hosted. |
Again its very hard to decide between Hong Kong "The city
of Life" and Paris "The city of Love". Hong Kong
has a special place in my heart as it's where I have some of
my closest global friends. The city pulsates with energy and
more closely resembles a living, breathing organism than a static
city of concrete and skyscrapers. If you want excitement, love
food, technology and a harbour view than HK is your spot!
Paris on the other hand exudes style, class and romance. Amazing
architecture, incredible history at every turn. If you want
an injection of culture then Paris is your place. Also don't
forget to try the fabulous restaurants, especially in the Latin
Quarter. |
